Just everything spot on. Food was insanely amazing with perfect cocktail and food pairings and recommendations. Even my cold leftovers the next day were fantastic. A little pricey but worth every single bite and sip. I would come back in a heartbeat, truly a hidden vibe and gem in Chicago
Great spot for some wood fired Mexican food in West Loop. Portions are fantastic and delicious. Had the guacamole and al pastor, will definitely be coming back to try other dishes
Enjoyed my birthday dinner here last night (10/8) and it was exceptional. Our group of six started with their Queso/charred bread and guacamole/chips; both outstanding. Our cocktails and mock-tails were delicious; I enjoyed the Floridita…highly recommend. Dinner came and we enjoyed the chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, el pastor, carne asada, tamal and carnitas….OUTSTANDING!! Our server was top-notch; very knowledgeable and attentive. He had a great disposition, the food was timed well and arrived piping hot. We sat by the open fire kitchen which was fun to watch. Overall, another exceptional experience at a Rick Bayless restaurant.

We rented out the 'Alcove' room for our wedding dinner. It was nothing short of perfection. We had plenty of food for our small group and everything was delicious. The sea bass was so tender and paired well with the salsas. The tortillas were hand made and were so fresh. The chocolate mousse was so decadent with a hint of spice and I'm typically not a fan! And finally the service was so warm and welcoming. Marta made sure we were well taken care of and was so kind. And when our cake was not delivered from an outside vendor they offered to contact them for us! Everything about the event was perfect!
Amazing food. Share plates... you cannot make a bad choice. The cauliflower was life changing... that kind of good. Casual atmosphere... but seriously good food. Attention to detail and flavor is evident in each dish. We will be back.
I've not had a bad meal YET - the food is truly outstanding!! Cocktails have been spot on, their Baja G&T is the best gin & tonic I've ever had. Servers have always been friendly, informative and attentive. I could not recommend Leña Brava highly enough!!
Just amazed at this place! The wood fire oysters were fire!! The ceviche was also really good! The side of plantains were delicious but the cream felt too heavy and overpowering. Thanks for making my birthday special!!
It's okay. The seafood is cooked perfectly here, but it's small-ish portions for high-ish prices, and most of the Mexican flavors aren't as good as you get further out in the neighborhoods.
